Turbulence Ahead.
We are now beginning our initial descent into Minneapolis and Saint Paul, home of the Twin Cities Marathon Weekend Experience from Mill City Running in partnership with Bandit and ASICS.
We’re so glad you finally made it.
While the cabin crew’s primary goal is to ensure a safe and comfortable flight, ours is to provide a manic few days on the ground. So turn up, tune out, and drop in to three days of shakeouts, pop-ups, visitors from big cities (oooooh), and a cheer zone that has earned warnings at multiple races round the globe.
We’re looking for that “first person to jump up when the seatbelt sign goes off” energy. So stow your tray tables and get ready to rock.
All of us here at Mill City Running would like to officially welcome you to Flyover Country: Twin Cities Weekend 2025.
Your Weekend Itinerary.

Megablast, Megaphone, Megaflaps: Wolves in 4
6:00AM Doors | 6:30AM Run
This one gets a little (a lot) bigger every year. Join ASICS & Mill City for a morning run along both sides of the Mighty Mississipi. Après-run we’ll be flippin’ hot stacks of ‘jacks, serving up “croffles” (the love child of a croissant and a waffle), and rounding out the menu with some fan favorite breakfast burrtitos (talk to Dre). At 7:00AM the doors of the second floor are flung wide open for your first look at the 2025 Mill City x Bandit Collection.

Shake City at Saint City with ASICS
8:00AM Doors | 8:30AM Run
We’re in the business of carbo loading with sweetened, corn-based cereals. And in case you’re curious, business is good (thanks to our man Kelp). Pre-run you’ll be able to snag a pair of the latest demo shoes ASICS has to offer (all those Blasts), shop our (very) limited selection of one-off and vintage Mill City items, and find the restroom before the line is 19 deep. At 8:30AM we hit the river, shaking out and setting up your legs for a PR on Sunday. Upon return we’re providing you with your first square meal of the day, filling you full of the best General Mills has to offer.
How many Olympians will be there this year? Will the CEO of ASICS show up again? We are not prepared to answer either of these questions at this time. (But Kodama-san, if you’re reading this, snaps on the Metaspeed series.)

Turbulence Ahead: Mile 23 Cheer Zone
8:00AM —1:00PM
Although junior high science class taught us that light travels faster than sound, one day a year we say, “physics, take a hike” cause you’re gonna hear us before you see us. Mile 23, hours in, cresting the biggest hill on Summit…then you hear it. Relentless synth. Is that…Sandstorm?
If you’re racing, running, scuffling, or speckling (a very Mill City way to cheer) we want to see you at the intersection of Hamline & Summit. It’s a cheer zone, dance party, potluck (this is the upper midwest), and the absolute loudest section of the course. Amplified sound permit? Check. Pre-written apologies? Check. Unprecedented energy? Double check.

Show and tell and tell again at Surly presented by Bandit
6:00PM — Bedtime
First off, minimal stairs. How’s that for selling a venue? Now that you’ve outrun your competition, doubts, and (potential) demons, let’s raise a glass. Join us at Surly Brewing where we’ll celebrate and commiserate, swap race day tales and close out another TCM Weekend. Oh, and your first beer’s on Bandit.
We’ve often been accused of being too midwestern (if that’s even possible) to toot our own horn, but BEEP BEEP. Signing off from the Epicenter of Distance Running. We’ll see ya out there.
